Tourists at Times Sq and our getaway to Atlantic City

My second half of the trip in NYC:
We bought the explorer passes which entitle us to visit 10 city attractions, but only started acting like real tourists after one and a half weeks there.
We procrastinated and shopped wayy too much

Finally on Sept 6th, a rainy day, we went to Ripley's Believe it or not/ Madame Tussauds at Times Sq :)

My uber small hand vs the largest hand in history

Had fun taking photos at the torture chamber section

I look too happy despite this situation.

Pretty close, aren't I?

Tryna 'smize' at Tyra.

My favourite photo!

Whoopi and me

Before we entered the Scream section (aka haunted house).

Now that's more like it..

LOL this is hilarious.

Love this photo!!

Sheena's too pretty.

HAHAHAHHAHA

Too much..

Brit and I

BIEBER!!!!

After a long day, we headed back to Grand Central to have some Magnolia Bakery cupcakes :D

We stayed over at G's that night. Watched movies and shows and ate ice cream!!
Like good ol' sleepovers. Love it.
Yknow there are tourists who go to NY and live in hotels, visiting attractions everyday, and there are those who are just residents in NY. I feel that S and I were kinda in-between.
We did visit attractions, but we had the privilege of staying with our cousin, she and G brought us to places tourists usually wouldn't go.
And of course, whodef goes to NY to have a sleepover. lolol.
Nonetheless, I had so much fun catching up with G.

The next morning,
3 eggs in any style! Ate at a breakfast cafe just a block away from G's apt along Maiden Lane

Pax wholesome food. Love the tossed salad. And it's pretty cheap too!!

Made a friend from Barbados at the FIT campus visit tour.
We had lunch and went to Saks.

That night, S and I had tickets to Zarkana.

The theater is HUGE!! Wayy bigger than Broadway musical theaters.
The show was great. Acrobats, tight ropes, dancing and singing.
I LOVE IT!
It's so inspirational and entertaining
Every time they perform a difficult stunt, I couldn't help but hold my breath.

So anyway.. I got home to find that the Aldo shoes which I've ordered have arrived!
I ordered TWO pairs of shoes.
Guess what I received.

One and a
HALF
Yup, the LEFT side came. ONLY THE LEFT.
Are they stupid or stupid?
Seriously.
Was so mad. Went down to the store a few days later to return and reorder. Total waste of my time.

Another shoe incident happened to Charmaine jiejie; she sent BROWN Cole Haan boots to repair/clean (I forgot).
They sent her back the exact same design in BLACK.

Very good.

Moving on, the next morning..
Basking at Time Sq subway stn.

We were on our way to Port Authority Bus Terminal to buy bus tickets to ATLANTIC CITYY!!!

WOOOOO
I love the coach service we took.
The seats had a power outlet for me to charge my phone and there was free wifi on the bus so I was able to play with my itouch games!!

Yes, it's true that the majority of the people at the slot machines are old..
like granny old.

It was raining the entire day so I couldn't go to the beach. SO SAD

Buffet lunch after a 2.5 hour bus ride.

Our bus ticket entitled us to $25 worth of slots play so we just played and cashed out everything.

Food fair at the Tropicana. Pay 30$ and free flow of food served by the stall of eating outlets at the atrium.

Burlesque show and club night at Providence

The club was freezing cold, the bathroom was the only warm place.

Played Black Jack throughout the night after clubbing. I love Black Jack! I never knew it could be that fun.
Won over a 100 bucks (Y)

Next morning. It was sunny, hurray!!!
So we hit the boardwalk

Lovely day, thank god.

The wind, the sun and the ocean.
Stress-free.
I'd love to have a house by the beach.

Lunch at Hooters!

We arrived in NYC in the evening.
Was super tired cos S and I only had an hour of sleep in the hotel room. We didn't even spend much time there, except to bathe.

10th Sept: Breakfast at a nearby diner

Bergdorf!!
It wasn't as fab as I'd imagine. The skincare/makeup section is pretty small. Saks is wayyy better.

I think this is the F21 outlet which is.. 6 storeys high?
S and I spent over an hour (again) there.

View from Top of the Rock!!
The View is magnificent. Who knew the view of buildings could be breathtaking?

The entire central park. Central park is HUGE!!

Bought makeup from Bendel's.

Does this place look familiar? The last part of The Adjustment Bureau was filmed here!!

I had to stop otw home to buy a cupcake. I just couldn't resist!

We had to move our shopping bags one side because C was having a dinner party that day.

They whipped up a spread while we were out. Food was GOOD!!
There was risotto and pita and salad etc.

Alright, will blog about the last batch of photos soon!!

I think this October will be a great month.
A lot has been happening.
Went back to sch yesterday to visit Mr Lim and drink my fav drink from the canteen.
Met up with a few House Exco girls to catch up.
Flea stall at scape tomorrow :) Come visit gen and I! Jane and charlotte will be having a stall too.
And there's halloween at the end of the month
Stoked! And stressed. Lol
