I visited my friend Katerina in Budapest during our term break from April 3-6 and it was so amazing. She and her mom were such wonderful hosts and she showed me around the beautiful city. I've learned so much about Hungary and am in love with it. Though, it was only 3 days, I got to do so many things including getting drunk at ruin pubs till 4am in the morning, to eating homecooked Russian/Hungarian food and even horseback riding for the first time in my life.
Here's just a summary of Budapest and sights I saw.
If anyone plans to do a Euro trip, go to Budapest. It should be one of your top destinations. Hungarian people are super friendly and a pleasure to talk to, not to mention, food and getting around is cheap.
