Flew to Dubai on Saturday morning. I never realised how uncomfortable the economy class was. I love airplane rides (mostly cos of the food and the fact that I'm travelling somewhere) but the lack of leg space and inability of the seats to be reclined fully makes sleeping so difficult and uncomfortable.
I long for the day where I'd be able to afford to sit Business class.
Distracted myself during the plane ride by watching The Iron Lady and a local film called Already Famous written and directed by Michelle Chong. Enjoyed a Singapore Sling too.
I envy those who can get off a plane looking so refreshed and awake. For me, my face feels dry and my ears are so blocked I feel cranky.
Oh the wonders of make up. You're my lifesaver.
Did not visit Dubai Mall in the end.. headed to Mall of the Emirates instead.
The mall was huge and the walkway was spacious. I loved the mall decoration and shop fronts were so attractive. Only had about 2 hours to shop around. Managed to find a few items and I bought something suitable in MINT from H&M. That was the highlight of my day, I'm so excited to wear that mint button-down shirt.
Dubai experiences a temperate climate so it gets really hot in the summer. Instead of waiting in the hot sun, commuters can enjoy air-conditioned bus stops!
It was a 2hr long drive back to the apartment in Abu Dhabi. I messed up my room within 15 min of arrival. I absolutely love my bedroom because it's bigger than the one back home and the bed is soft and comfy.
Although I can access internet on my computer, my Blackberry can't send out whatsapp/BBM texts despite being 'connected to wifi'. It's kinda frustrating cos I really do miss my friends (especially cos I have no friends here ugh).
I blame you, RIM.
I need an Iphone.
