Summer is drawing to a close and fall is next. Layering would probably be my most fun part about dressing up. Some love accessorizing and they can pull off such statement chunky necklaces, but currently I'm obsessed with jackets and coats. They just complete the entire look and layers are much needed in London because of the weather.
I'm always interested in which direction Karen Millen is headed each season and excited to see the new collection/ lookbook. This brand is one of my favourites; the dresses have such flattering cuts and true to size from season to season.
I have learnt to appreciate the premium quality of designs produced by this London label because I spent 7 months working part-time (while juggling uni work at LCF) for the Covent Garden store in London. Was pretty glad to work in one of the flagship stores, where the press office was. Being on the floor and helping style our customers was very enjoyable. I was able to put pieces together in different ways to suit someone else's preference. Another perk of the job was being able to wear current season clothes as well as getting to keep them. Getting compliments from customers was great, but convincing them to purchase the dress we brand ambassadors were wearing was more rewarding. Below are some of the KM pieces I own and still love.

One of my favourite bloggers, Kelly Framel from The Glamourai, collaborated with Karen Millen and I was this close to buying this leopard print coat. It was so bold yet easy to wear with almost anything in my closet, the downside was not having full long sleeves and London was having such a cold season. Kelly Framel is a great stylist and she never fails to interest her readers with new collaborations and projects she works on. Her images are of top quality and I do relate to her style.
Had a look at AW13 lookbook and two looks came to my attention.
I guess it's time to purchase some cape-like coat and tartan bottoms. Cannot wait to fly back to London and get ready for fall, not to mention move into a new house shared with 2 of my friends. Year 2 awaits :)
