California: Los Angeles

As expected, my much anticipated visit to Los Angeles was amazing. Not only was the home that we stayed at awesome (great host and amenities provided), but I just love whatever LA has to offer, despite what people say about it. We rushed from Vegas to LA in time to catch a comedy show at the Ice House hosted by Rudy Moreno. There were 8 acts in total and every single one was hilarious.

We also roller-bladed along Venice beach up till Santa Monica pier which surprisingly wasn't amazing and in fact, small and boring. The blade there and back on 4th of July was great though, I love beaches and just hearing the ocean waves.

4th of July fireworks. The next day we drove an hour to Lake Elsinore, CA to skydive. Tandem skydiving plus videography totaled up to $279. To me, it was definitely worth the experience and the 5 min parachute glide was my favourite because I got the enjoy the view of Lake Elsinore.

Held a gun in my hand for the first time at LA's Insight Indoor Shooting Range. Used both the handgun and rifle.

Yeahhhhh buddy. Hit the center most of the time and aimed at the head twice (just because I could)

Ending our last day in LA with surfing and a trip to Griffith Observatory at night! We also took a drive around Mulholland drive which is part of Hollywood hills. The view from the hills/observatory was beautiful. We could see the entire of LA and the Hollywood bowl. I definitely wanna come back to LA again, was so sad to leave!

On Friday, we decided to spend the night at Tijuana because San Diego was just too expensive. Hence, crossing the border to Mexico seemed kinder to our wallets and honestly, exploring Mexico sounded like an adventure. Tijuana was an interesting change and my favourite part was the cheap mexican food!
