Manhattan: Healthy mornings

The gym at G's apartment building is currently under renovation but surprisingly, that didn't stop us from keeping to our workout plans. The pier is just a few blocks down so we jogged past the brooklyn & manhattan bridge on Tuesday morning. It felt so good to start our day early. Donation-based yoga classes are also held everyday at St Marks Pl and the session was really good, I'm so glad we were able to get there on time. There's always a chance of being late for morning plans because we're just not much of morning people. 

After our morning yoga, we decided to have some healthy breakfast just a short bus ride down along Kenmare St at a cozy place called The Butcher's Daughter. They serve multi-grained breakfast and other organic bites/drinks, included cold-pressed juices. Quite pricey though.

 We each chose a Breakfast Bagel and it was so really good, definitely coming back to this place if I ever come back to New York.

 I woke up at 6.30am this morning to catch Demi Lovato in concert for Good Morning America at Central Park this morning and today has just been a very very sleepy day. Don't get me wrong I had an amazing time watching Demi perform but why couldn't it be Good Afternoon America or something. 

I'm leaving for Seattle tomorrow evening and I can't help but feel sad that I'm leaving this amazing city. However, I am glad I got the chance to come back here again and spend time with my good friend Georgina and am definitely looking forward to a road trip along the west coast!
