Bath & Stonehenge

I spent the first weekend after quitting my job at Bath and it was amazing. We took a 2 hour coach ride from Victoria Coach Station at 8am. Waking up was the worst part, especially when all I got was 3 hours of sleep because of a late night out. We took Premium as our coach (double-decked bus) and the seats were fairly comfortable.
Stonehenge wasn't as big I expected it to be, but it was still interesting to learn about its history with the help of audio tour sets which were provided.

Bath is gorgeous and countryside visits never fail to cheer me up, it's so relaxing and I love to explore  the streets of a new town. When we got there, we visited some sites before wandering around for a good restaurant to have our long awaited lunch. We wanted something different and unique, a non-chain restaurant that we couldn't find back in London. I guess we could've done at least some research for recommended eateries because we took some time before settling at The Roman Bath Kitchen restaurant which turned out to be such a great choice. It overlooks the Roman Bath Museum and I loved the ambience.
(What a cliche, I know, dine at a restaurant called Roman Bath when in Bath, but hey, great food and service!)

I had a pot of mussels (less than 11 quid) and the others had a Salad and Fish n Chips.
The pot of mussels which comes with frites is highly recommended because the mussels were fresh and the frites were just delicious. My meal was so satisfying, could not have been happier with my choice.

Wonderful day trip out of London with such good weather, doubt I'll be coming back to Bath again though. As much as it is pretty, the travel time to this town is a bit too long. Very much interested in visiting Brighton, heard it's lovely over there.
