Early last year, I interned for a local label rêvasseur and two weeks ago, the designer, Gilda Su, invited me to an event at Parco for a party in celebration of Singapore's birthday. Parco is a retail zone in Millenia Walk which features a number of local designers. Anyone who happens to be around City Hall should take a look at the interesting designs from our local talent. I especially enjoyed browsing through QUAINTHOOD & WiL.LiaM's collections.
Haven't seen Gilda since I left for London so it was great to see her again.
She was wearing designs from her very whimsical and one-of-a-kind collection!
I was wearing a white sheer top by Nasty Gal, Kooba bag and brogues from New York.
The performance by The Sam Willows was amazing (though a bit too short), they're so talented and it really sets a high standard for other local talents. So proud of them.
The next day, I got the chance to attend Fashion TV's beach festival @ Tanjong Beach Club in Sentosa because I had a couple of free tickets given to me. Besides the blazing hot weather, I had fun. Was able to stay for 3 fashion shows and take a better look at the pieces showcased, which were sold on Gnossem; an online-retail platform supporting independent designers.
The dress code was white so I managed to borrow another white top from my friend Genevieve (who also happened to be the one who helped me with my new blog banner!). Matched the white top with WildDreams floral headband, Turquoise Rebecca Minkoff M.A.C. bag and blue sandals from Bangkok.
